#eve-frontier #whitepaper #tribe # Algorithmic Warfare, Survival in a Deprotocolized Space %% [[Algorithmic Warfare.canvas]] %% # What is Algorithmic Warfare? %% - Algorithmic Warfare is a vision I started cultivating as soon as I heard about Project Awakening and its ambitions. - The core of this vision is a deep interest in Smart Assemblies, programmable composable units, as a medium to channel player creativity and ingenuity in a world where everything is subject to entropic ruin. - The claim is that this technology will evolve the state of conflict from military to algorithmic warfare including operations across both dimensions. - Our mission as a collective is to research this new dimension of play and be at forefront of its technological advancement. - Now, I am taking steps to make that vision true by inviting other players to join me in this journey. %% Algorithmic Warfare is a vision I began cultivating as soon as I learned about Project Awakening and its ambitious goals. At its core, this vision stems from my deep interest in Smart Assemblies—composable [[Protocol Code turns Smart Networks into Continuous Problem Solving Media|protocol hardware]] designed to channel player creativity and ingenuity in a world threatened by entropic ruin. I believe this technology has the potential to transform the nature of conflict, shifting it from traditional military engagements to a new realm of algorithmic warfare and the possible emergence of cross-dimensional proto-military operations leading to the foundation of new domain-specific knowledge like, "algorithmic combat" or "military algorithmics", a blending of tactical military operations with algorithm-driven methods like, "protocol hacking". Our collective mission is to explore this innovative dimension of play and lead the charge in its technological advancement. %% Algorithmic Warfare (AWAR) is a movement, a symbolic act of moving forward as a collective across the many dimensions the Frontier's life. Our movement is the compound of many personal initiatives. Individuals with good ideas, backed and pushed to realize their vectors in space. A movement where everyone should act upon their own conviction, thinking about the value in doing and not doing, to fulfill their vision and at the same time write #AWAR's legacy. %% # What is our backstory? %% - We are a curious bunch who is mainly driven by the thirst of knowledge in all areas of survival and discovery and that by no means imply we are pacifists, we will do anything to survive. - Our main inspiration is the Exclave Ventures as we are fascinating by how such algorithmic hyperobject could exist. - We have a decent experience with protocols and intend to leverage that to build outstanding smart structures and experiment with advanced autonomous assembly networks. %% We are a collective of protocol scientists and visionaries, from diverse backgrounds and united by a shared passion for discovery. Driven by a thirst for knowledge, our mission is to research and develop groundbreaking technologies that address the evolving needs of the frontier, advancing the understanding and means of survival in this uncharted world. Our main inspiration comes from [Exclave Ventures](https://evefrontier.com/en/thekeep/exclave), as we are fascinated by the existence of such algorithmic hyperobject. A historical proof of what advanced [[You Never Truly Solve a Problem|protocol theory]] is capable of achieving, an entity that will keep on running even after you desert it. A living artefact of civilizational prowess that will keep wrestling against natural and artificial deterrents. With our decent understanding of protocols and background in various aspects of the clone life, we aim to leverage that expertise to build exceptional smart structures and experiment with advanced autonomous assembly networks. # What is our code? %% - In this area, we take inspiration from the Jo/'hoansi Tribe and their model of decision making. - People are not bound by loyalty to the group in taking their decision. They can leave whenever they want or join whenever they want. - We welcome everyone, even members from other tribes if they want to further their knowledge or pursue their own projects and enjoy an environment of likeminded supportive individual. - We have no such thing as a collective fund, everyone keep their own resources, contribution is optional, it is up to your convictions. Everyone gotta make a case for his project to secure his funding and support from other builders or tribes. - We will employ a system of Tokens to mediate someone's status within the group and measure their performance. Those metrics will be based on the impact of the individual in various areas of the Frontiers' disciplines. %% We draw inspiration from the [Ju/'hoansi Tribe](https://aeon.co/essays/what-the-ju-hoansi-can-tell-us-about-group-decision-making) and their model of decision-making, where loyalty is only directed toward the group's vision. We prioritize consensus over majority voting to avoid division and resentment within the group. Decisions are based on maintaining social harmony and future cooperation among community members. Discourse is depersonalized to prevent conflicts and encourage open expression of ideas. We welcome everyone, including members from other tribes, who wish to further their knowledge, pursue their own projects, and engage in a supportive environment of like-minded individuals. There is no collective fund; everyone retains their own resources, and contributions are optional, guided by personal convictions. Each member must make a case for their project to secure funding and support from other builders or tribes. # How do we roll? %% - In a sense we are the watch, and we keep looking at how life in the Frontier is going and introduce tools and techniques that improves its quality of life or stirs some conflict. Disruptive Innovation. - We serve no one, we are open to collaborate with everyone. We roll as one intelligent collective. - Another duty we take upon ourselves is to keep records of the player history - We accept all form of players, those interested in building, military and even lore. All of these input serve advancement both cultural and technological. - We make no promises beside the vision we strive for and that we will protect with our decisions. %% As an intelligent collective, we act as both observers and innovators, constantly monitoring life on the Frontier and introducing tools and techniques to enhance quality of life or tilt the balance of conflict through disruptive innovation. We serve no one but remain open to collaboration with all. We welcome all players, whether they are builders, strategists, or storytellers, as every contribution drives both cultural and technological advancement. While we make no promises beyond our vision, we stand firm in protecting it through our decisions. Diversity in interests will enable us to compose player lore, and document military and building knowledge, for later generations to come constantly improving the quality of engagement and taking the survival experience to a whole new level. # What do we do? %% - While we take it upon ourselves to contribute in both cultural and technological advancement and understanding, our approach relies primarily on the elaboration of sophisticated protocols aimed to address open problems in the above mentioned areas. - In other words, we explore the hidden techno-cultural tree of the Frontier annotating each point of relevant advancement. - The starting point I suggest is a concept I developed that deals with survival on a deeper level called, Metaresources. - Metaresource theory deal with fundamental aspect of clone life like, Activity, Knowledge and Discourse. - In this theory, Vision, Trust and Attention, are the metaresources in question. Their management is of paramount important in deciding the outcomes in the Frontier. - I posit the need of realizing 3-protocols aimed at efficient management of these metaresources in way that lead to growth and more interesting gameplay. - These three protocols are, Crowd Sourcing Protocol, Knowledge Distribution Protocol and Social Discourse Protocol. - The ultimate goal of these metaresource protocols is the channel as much knowledge and foster enough alignment between players to reach high-quality decisions with far reaching beneficial effects. - The tools we build are stepping stones in our march to advancement so we will use our best processes crafting the next stone. %% We focus on the elaboration of sophisticated protocols via the composition of Smart Objects into Smart Networks aimed at addressing open problems and proposal of new concept smart units to solidify the basis of the Smart Object Framework. Our exploration delves into the hidden techno-cultural tree of the Frontier, annotating each significant advancement along the way. The tools we build serve as stepping stones in this journey, and we commit to using our best processes in crafting each one, ensuring our continuous march toward greater advancement and understanding.
